“Santorini Fava”, is a Protected Designation of Origin product and comes from the plant “Lathyrus Clymenum L.” which has been cultivated exclusively on the island for 3,500 years.
Super Food: “Santorini Fava” has a particularly high nutritional value as it is rich in proteins and carbohydrates.
Characteristics: The traditional processing method that includes maturing in underground vats and drying in the sun gives it a foamy, velvety texture and sub-sweet taste.
Tip: Traceability. The name of the grower is written on the packaging as a guarantee of the origin and authenticity of the product.
